Medicare Eligibility Clarification

I would like to clarify a point regarding Medicare eligibility transaction processing. MedAvant, our clearinghouse partner to whom Medisoft sends 270 eligibility transactions, is requiring the provider's NPI number in order to process a 270 transaction. This change must be implemented to ensure that processing of eligibility transactions continues.

Medisoft is in the process of final testing the code change that allows for a provider's NPI to be included in the transaction set.
